As part of our livelihood support initiatives, we recently helped a differently-abled man start a small chicken farm—creating a sustainable source of income and renewed hope for the future.
Turning Support into Self-Sufficiency
Physical disability often limits employment opportunities, especially in rural and low-income communities. Understanding this challenge, our Trust provided the resources needed to set up a small chicken farm, including chicks and basic farming support. This initiative allows him to work close to home, manage daily activities independently, and earn a steady income.
Poultry farming is well-suited for individuals with limited mobility, as it requires manageable physical effort while offering reliable returns. Through this support, he is now able to contribute to his household income and meet his family’s daily needs with confidence.
